A unique and fast solution!
Double R Parts has implemented a brand-new, innovative logistics system. Its creation was a long-term project, from first concepts being drawn in 2015 to a fully operational system in 2022. Using autonomous mobile robots supplied by Lowpad and a unique software solution provided by Actemium, Double R Parts has managed to create a revolutionary system to sort and process parts orders on a large scale.
New webshop and machines
A new Double R Parts web shop was launched in 2015, which quickly resulted in a rise in orders. At that time, every single order was still sorted and packaged manually. Packaging machines were installed in 2019, resulting in faster and more secure sealing of packages. This marked the first step towards a more streamlined process.
Lowpads and optimalisation
In 2020, initial conversations with both Lowpad and Actemium took place about creating a system capable of handling the growing number of orders while increasing efficiency and reducing the margin of error. Two years later, this system was fully operational, running smooth, and had improved productivity.
Reliability and customisation
The aforementioned developments have led to a unique logistics solution. The system creates an overview of all current orders, ensuring easy detection and correction of possible mistakes. All parts are scanned multiple times using ring scanners, minimizing the margin of error and updating any location changes. This allows for attention to each customers’ individual wishes.
Send on request and combine orders!
When your order is processed and ready for delivery, you’ll receive a message via our app and on the web shop. Then you can make a shipment request, after which we’ll send you the parts. All your parts, no matter the amount of different orders or brands, will be combined into a single shipment, saving on freight costs. Every shipment is packed with care, as you would expect from a professional partner.
Location and transport
The office and warehouse of Double R Parts are located in the heart of the Netherlands. We’re conveniently placed between two major highways, meaning that both the Port of Rotterdam and Amsterdam Airport Schiphol are less than an hour away! Additionally, we’re close to both the German and the Belgian borders.
At Double R Parts, we offer many options to send you your parcels. We are partnered with many parcel carriers, such as UPS, DPD, TNT, DHL, FedEx, and PostNL.
Fast movers
We keep stock of so called 'fast movers'. These are service parts such as camshaft belts, air filters, oil filters, spark plugs and much more. This ensures that you will get your service parts on time!
