Artic Cat started out on the plains with gravel and snow in 1962. Over the years Artic Cat transformed in a leading manufacturer of ATV’s and snowmobiles. In 2017 Artic Cat became part of Textron which has a lot of expertise in performance and precision engineering. At this time the off-road production of vehicles came under the name Textron.

This combination made for excellent construction and quality machines. However the name Textron was changed back again to Artic Cat in 2019 when it became clear that the riders were more passionate about the old name. Today most of the production happens in Thief River Falls, Minnesota where it all started for Artic Cat.
